The Beginning (2017)
Sensade began in 2017 as a university project at Aalborg University, where our four founders met at the campus incubator. A shared idea quickly became a goal: fix unreliable parking data.
Key Learnings (2020)
Our early projects taught us an important lesson: great parking systems need great engineering at every level. To ensure accuracy, reliability, and long-term performance, we chose to develop and control our core technology in-house. This decision has shaped our solutions ever since.
New Sensor (2023)
After months of development, we launched our most advanced wireless parking sensor yet. It features dual detection combining radar and magnetometer technology, longer battery life, and improved range. Proudly designed and produced in Denmark.
Ceiling Parking Lamp (2024)
We introduced a new solution to parking: the ceiling parking lamp. First deployed at Gulskogen Shopping Center with 75 lamps across 798 spaces, one lamp registers up to 10 spaces – reducing hardware and energy consumption by up to 90% compared to traditional systems.
Airport Debut (2025)
Sensade reached a major international milestone with the delivery of a full parking guidance solution at Bergen Airport. With 750 wireless sensors and 120 ceiling parking lamps, passengers can now quickly find available parking. A key step in Sensade’s international expansion, completed in partnership with Bravida Norge and APCOA Norway.
Growing Across Europe (2026)
As our technology grew, so did our reach. What started with municipal pilots in Denmark is now deployed in airports, shopping centers, and mobility hubs across Europe. With 10,000+ sensors installed by 2026, Sensade is among the Nordic leaders in smart parking.
